How we work

On receipt of a customer enquiry, PSU Designs will:

• Assess project suitability to PSU Designs technologies and capabilities

• Discuss entire project with customer to gain a full understanding of customer needs
• Agree specification and timescales
• Agree manufacturing location
• Submit a quotation
• On acceptance of quotation, PSU receive order for design and samples

As the design procedure begins, PSU will:

• Allocate resource
• Produce paperwork design
• Produce prototype
• Test and modify prototype to meet specification
• Produce customer sample
• Verify performance against specification
• Produce technical construction file
• Submit samples to customer for evaluation
• Customer approves samples
• If required, submit samples and documentation to external approvals agencies
• Receive formal agency approval

On receipt of order for pre-production units, PSU will:

• Manufacture fast turnaround pre-production quantities at our UK facility
• Ensure the production process runs smoothly
• Submit pre-production units to customer
• Customer approves pre production units

On receipt of production order:

• Add order to master planning sheet
• Run MRP and procure materials accordingly
• Receive materials and allocate manufacturing resource
• Manufacture product
• Units are 100% tested to verify performance against specification
• Soak test
• Raise C of C and despatch goods

On receipt of production order:

• Place back to back order with offshore manufacturing facility
• Materials procured in accordance with documentation controlled by PSU Designs
• Product manufactured in accordance with documents controlled by PSU Designs
• Units are 100% tested to verify performance against specification
• Raise C of C and ensure goods are FoB at designated freight forwarder
